SuaraPemerintak.ID –Â Food Station as the food BUMD of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in maintaining the stability and availability of medium rice prices to meet the needs of the people in DKI Jakarta Province, in collaboration with Bulog Regional Sub Division (Subdivre) DKI Jakarta to carry out Market Operations for Supply Availability and Price Stabilization (KPSH) which was held at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, Monday (3/10/22).
The operation of the Market for Supply Availability and Price Stabilization (KPSH) for medium rice at the Cipinang Rice Main Market was witnessed by the Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya, Main Director of Perum BULOG, Budi Waseso, Head of the National Food Agency, Arief Prasetyo Adi, Deputy Minister of Agriculture , Tan Harvick Hasnul, who witnessed the launch of the Medium rice Market Operation.
The President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya Pamrihadi Wiraryo explained that currently the price of rice at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, especially medium rice, has exceeded the HET set by the Government.
Furthermore, the President Director of the Food Station detailed that as of September 30, 2022, the price of medium rice was IDR 9,834 per kg when compared to the price of medium rice according to the provisions of the Highest Retail Price (HET) for medium rice, namely IDR 9,450 per kg.
“Seeing the recent developments in rice prices at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, especially medium rice which tends to have exceeded the HET set by the Government, based on our monitoring at PIBC the price of medium rice on September 30 2022 was IDR 9,834 per kg when compared to the price of medium rice is in accordance with the provisions of the Highest Retail Price (HET) for medium rice, which is IDR 9,450
per kg,” he explained.
For this reason, his party is working with traders at the Cipinang Rice Main Market to provide rice for the KPSH market operation at a price of IDR 8,900 per kg. he said.
“The KPSH Market Operation is carried out in a massive and structured manner, traders and agents collaborate to ensure that the price is in accordance with the maximum that has been determined, so that at the consumer market level, the price is far below the HET price,” he said.
He hopes that in the current rising situation, food prices will rise due to rising fuel prices, so that traders will not take advantage of high prices to gain more profits.
“We also hope that there are no traders or agents who take advantage of high prices to get excess profits, because we feel sorry for the people who are already feeling the weight of the burden of rising prices for other products as a result of rising fuel prices,” he hoped.
Finally, the President Director of Food Station explained that this is the moment to stabilize the price of premium rice in the market. The Food Station is working with Bulog for the initial stage to provide 300 tons of KPSH market operation rice which will be distributed to traders at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, with a selling price of 8,900 per kg below the HET and it is planned that the medium rice market operation will continue until February 2023 We will distribute 70,000 tonnes to control medium rice prices.
